How do I Pay? In order to secure your booking we ask for a 30 percent deposit. The balance will be due 15 weeks prior to the start of your chosen tour (we will contact you a few days before the due date with a gentle reminder). If you book less than 15 weeks prior to the start of the tour, the total amount owing would be due immediately.
Is it possible to arrange a trip just for my group? The trips on our site are open to everyone. It is great, though, for friends, family and club mates to attend the tours in groups. If you wanted a bespoke tour just for you we can do that too. This can be an itinerary that we already have or one that you wish to create on a date specifically with your group in mind. We would ask for a minimum of 4 riders on these trips. You should note, though, that our retreats have a limited amount of spaces which means we have to allocate them on a first come first serve basis.
What is the standard of accommodation? All of our villas and farmhouses have been hand-picked and are of an extremely high standard with swimming pools. They are in beautiful locations with amazing views. Food and wine, whether served at the villa or in a local restaurant, will be of a very high standard throughout your stay.
Am I physically fit enough for Cycling Holidays Italy? Cycling in Italy is physically challenging. Cycling Holidays Italy tours are a perfect mix of relaxation and cycling, some are more difficult than others. Rest assured that our team of expert guides and support staff will be on hand throughout your stay. All of our tours have been rated individually so take a look at our level of ability page to help you decide which one best suits your fitness level.
Will there be any kind of back up assistance when we are out cycling? During each bike ride you will have at least two guides with you. We will also have a mechanic not far away. The Cycling Holidays Italy guide will take you to hand picked cafes and restaurants along the way - all of our staff are locals so will be able to answer any questions you may have about the area. If you are unable to finish the ride for whatever reason there will be a support car available to get you back to the villa safely.
Would it be possible to hire a bike? Yes, we will be able to hire a bike on your behalf locally although you will need to bring your own helmet (and if necessary, your own cleat pedals and cycling shoes). It is important that you inform us well in advance so that we can ensure that the correct size is available. We would also ask that you send us your bike-fit measurements so that we can get the bike set up before your arrival.
Are there any activities available in my spare time? Cycling Holidays Italy are designed to offer relaxation time away from the saddle with activities such as wine, cheese and olive oil tastings, cookery classes, horse riding, golf or a cultural visit to a nearby city. Every day you will have time to relax around the pool and villa, alternatively maps can be provided should you wish to venture out on the bike once more.
Would I be able to bring a friend who doesn't cycle? Yes, friends, husbands, wives, partners are all welcome. There are a range of activities for them to undertake while you are out cycling. The Cycling Holidays Italy team will be on hand throughout your stay ready to give advice on things to do and places to go for you and any non cycling guests.
Would Cycling Holidays Italy be able to help with flights etc? Yes. As locals all of our staff have a vast knowledge of suitable airlines, airports as well as accommodation if you wanted to stay somewhere prior to or after your tour with us.
If I book a trip with Cycling Holidays Italy - is it guaranteed to happen? Cancellations are extremely rare. If we cancel your trip you will receive a full refund of any monies you have paid. We will not be liable for flight or insurance costs you have incurred.
Is there anything specific I need to pack for my Cycling Holidays Italy tour? After you have secured your booking with us, you will receive confirmation and information on what you will need for your retreat. However, for every tour you will require a road bike (either yours or a hire bike), cycle clothing for all weather conditions, cycling shoes, pedals, cycling helmet, water bottle and travel insurance.
